Park Gateway
Amenity-Rich Mixed-Use Development Revitalizes South L.A. Community
Park Gateway is the flagship project for the revitalization of Watts and the redevelopment of 103rd Street, which has historically served as the epicenter for this South Los Angeles community. Development partners Grant Housing & Economic Development Corporation and Abode Communities developed this transformative mixed-use project featuring 76 affordable homes for families, with a portion of the units dedicated to supportive housing for the “re-entry” population (formerly incarcerated individuals). Supportive services will be provided by the Anti-Recidivism Coalition.
This amenity-rich development features a 4,500 sf Bank of America branch; 1,800 sf restaurant; 4,000 sf dance academy for youth and 3,000 sf of community-serving retail space focused on health and wellness.
Other contributing organizations include: Creative Housing Associates, Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), Global Green, Kounkuey Design Initiative (KDI) and the Watts community.
